| Today, nonpartisan race rater Inside Elections shifted its rating for Colorado’s 5th Congressional District in Democrats’ favor – the latest sign that Coloradans are ready to send fourth generation Coloradan and U.S. Army veteran Jessica Killin to Congress.
The ratings change comes as El Paso County voters are souring on
Jeff Crank’s disastrous record of gutting health care, raising costs, and putting his ultra-wealthy donors over working families.
Inside Elections notes that recent polling has Killin within striking distance of Crank. Killin has also held a consistent financial advantage over Crank, flashing major warning signs as “the political environment for Colorado Republicans is expected to be brutal.” Colorado’s 5th Congressional District is also the fastest-trending Democratic district in the country.
