| Today, Inside Elections shifted their prediction for Montana’s 1st Congressional District in Democrats’ direction — the latest sign that Sam Forstag has the momentum to flip MT-01 blue.
Inside Elections writes in part that “private surveys have Democrat Sam Forstag leading Republican Aaron Flint with just a few weeks to go. Even though Montana is a red state and this is a red district, Trump’s job approval rating is slumping nearly everywhere… Democrats have a chance for an upset.”
The ratings change comes just weeks after the Cook Political Report, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Fox News all moved their ratings for MT-01 towards Democrats, and as recent public polling shows Forstag neck and neck with Flint.
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Montanans are sick and tired of Republicans like Aaron Flint who bend the knee to their party bosses at every turn. Montana families know that Flint would only make their lives worse, and they’re ready for change. This November, Montanans will stand behind smokejumper and union leader Sam Forstag — a proven leader who’s ready to make Washington work for them.” |
