| With one week until Election Day, two new rating shifts confirm that Florida’s 13th Congressional District is squarely in play, and Retired Army Brigadier General Leela Gray is closing the gap to beat Anna Paulina Luna in the final stretch.
This morning, the Tampa Bay Times moved Anna Paulina Luna up to the fifth most vulnerable Member of Congress from Florida vulnerability ranking. Luna is marked as more vulnerable than before, with the Tampa Bay Times writing in part that “polling has shown a close race,” coupled with a “deteriorating environment for Republicans, especially among Latino voters [and] amid concerns about affordability and immigration.”
Hours later, Sabato’s Crystal Ball also shifted their prediction for FL-13 in Democrats’ direction – on the heels of similar shifts from Inside Elections, Cook Political Report, Decision Desk HQ, and Fox News in recent weeks. Gray continues to receive key endorsements, lead Luna in the polls, and campaign hard on her plans to lower costs, keep promises to the district’s veterans, and crack down on Luna’s unprecedented corruption in Washington.
