| Today, independent race rater Cook Political Report shifted its rating for Florida’s 7th Congressional District towards Bale Dalton as he continues to gain momentum, outraising opportunist flip-flopper Ryan Elijah by more than 2-to-1 and gaining the endorsement of former Senator and RNC Chairman Mel Martinez.
Cook Political Report cites Bale’s “strong profile for the district,” as a Navy veteran and former NASA Chief of Staff. They also highlight key parts of the district that have historically swung by wide margins, putting FL-07 squarely in play.
The ratings change comes hot on the heels of a nearly $1.8 million investment from the House Majority PAC into FL-07 as well as a 6-figure ad buy from the DCCC calling out Elijah’s out-of-touch comments downplaying the economic pain working families in Florida are feeling.
REMINDER: The latest public polling in the race has Bale tied with Elijah.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Rejecting empty-suit Ryan Elijah is a bipartisan exercise. Elijah is just another status-quo lackey who lies just as much as he breathes, begging working families to ignore their shrinking wallets. Central Floridians know that Bale Dalton is the right choice to bring real, hardworking leadership back to FL-07 that will fight for lower costs and root out the scourge of corruption in D.C.” |
