🚨RATINGS CHANGE: Inside Elections Moves NC-01 Towards Don Davis, Now a Toss-Up Race

Yesterday, nonpartisan race rater Inside Elections shifted its rating for North Carolina’s 1st District in Don Davis’ favor to a toss-up, proving that as costs continue to rise on North Carolinians, Republicans can’t even gerrymander their way out of their problems.

According to the analysis, “it’s no longer fair to say that Davis is an underdog in his rematch against retired Army Lt. Col. Laurie Buckhout, despite Republicans redrawing his district to defeat him.”

Laurie Buckhout has only made things worse for herself by proving how out of touch she is with working North Carolinians, going on the record to whine about North Carolinians worried about sky-high gas prices, which she said are “definitely worth it.” Meanwhile, Buckhout was caught red-handed trying to insider bet off of her own campaign.

DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Laurie Buckhout is acting like a corrupt, out-of-touch politician before she’s even in office. Thankfully for North Carolinians, she won’t ever reach Washington. Voters will reelect Don Davis to get costs down and continue putting them first.”
