Today, independent race rater Sabato’s Crystal Ball updated its rating for Montana’s First District, the latest sign that Montanans are turning their backs on Aaron Flint and Republicans’ broken promises.
Montanans are quickly growing tired of Republicans’ price-hiking tariffs, reckless war in Iran, and historic health care cuts — all things For Sale Flint has made it clear he’d vote to continue. Meanwhile, smokejumper and union leader Sam Forstag is picking up support from both sides of the aisle, with recent polling showing him in dead heat with Flint.
The update comes just days after Cook Political Report shifted its own rating towards Democrats, a clear sign that momentum is on Forstag’s side.
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Aaron Flint is loyal to his corrupt political allies, donors, and party bosses – not to working Montanans. Sam Forstag is laser-focused on getting costs down and fixing a broken Washington, which is why voters will send him to Congress in November.”
