Today, the Cook Political Report announced that it is shiftingits ratingfor Texas’ 15th Congressional District in Democrats’ direction to reflect Bobby Pulido’s gains among voters as they tire of Monica De La Cruz’s endless broken promises.
The report notes that despite Trump winning the district by 18 points in 2024, “De La Cruz faces a serious challenge from Tejano musician Bobby Pulido.” That’s due in part to De La Cruz’s rubber stamp for Republicans’ cruel mass deportation regime that’s become increasingly unpopular in her heavily Hispanic district.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus: “Monica De La Cruz has done nothing but turn her back on her district, and Texans are going to do the exact same thing back to her. While De La Cruz is failing to convince anyone of the latest spin on her cruel agenda, Bobby Pulido is building a grassroots movement to put South Texas first. This shift is a sure sign that Pulido is going to bring this seat home in November.”
