The non-partisan election forecaster Inside Elections has moved Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District from “Tilt Republican” to a “Toss Up.”
Lanon Baccam continues to gain momentum after outraising Zach Nunn every quarter he’s been in the race. New polling shows Lanon leading Nunn 50-46, movement that is largely driven by women voters who are learning more about Nunn’s anti-abortion record.
Nunn voted for the original version of the state’s near-total abortion ban, voted for a constitutional amendment that would eliminate the right to an abortion in Iowa, and supported banning abortion nationwide with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman’s life.
