🚨 MAGA Lapdog Jay Feely Won’t Say Trump Lost The 2020 Election 🚨

AZ-01 twice rejected election denier Kari Lake in 2022 and 2024

MAGA lapdog Jay Feely is way too extreme for Arizona’s First Congressional District, new reporting from the Arizona Republic highlights.

Despite AZ-01 being “an epicenter for conservative voters who have wavered on the GOP,” Feely continues to stand firmly with Trump on everything from reckless tariffs to the cost-raising war in Iran – and now on the results of the 2020 election.

REMINDER: Arizona’s First Congressional District is far from a MAGA stronghold. The district “has historically preferred more moderate political figures” and is “brimming with the moderate Republicans… [with a] disdain for Mr. Trump.” The district also rejected election-denier Kari Lake in both 2022 and 2024.

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“MAGA Republican Jay Feely is loyal to Donald Trump and Donald Trump only. If elected, he’d be another rubberstamp Republican who’s willing to jack up the national debt and force cuts to Medicare to pay for tax cuts for billionaires, protect reckless tariffs that are raising prices on families and small businesses, and sow dangerous conspiracy theories about our elections. Feely is way too extreme for AZ-01.”

Arizona Republic: Scottsdale swing district puts Trump-backed candidate under pressure

  • The president’s tariffs, the war in Iran, and the accompanying economic fallout have created headwinds for Republicans in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District, which stretches across Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, and north Phoenix.
  • The former Cardinals kicker and NFL commentator has continued to embrace a MAGA brand since he shifted his campaign from the deep-red district where he lives to the more moderate Scottsdale seat.
  • The high-earning, suburban area is an epicenter for conservative voters who have wavered on the GOP.
  • In 2024, the district was the only one in Arizona to collectively vote for Republican Donald Trump for president and Democrat Ruben Gallego for the U.S. Senate.
  • [Schweikert] didn’t embrace MAGA on Capitol Hill as fervently as some of his colleagues.
  • [Schweikert] expressed discomfort with election conspiracy theories within the GOP, even as he joined much of the caucus in voting not to accept Pennsylvania’s 2020 electoral college votes.
  • Feely continued promoting a MAGA brand even after he switched into the Scottsdale race. In April, he hosted a fundraiser alongside Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a divisive figure within the Trump administration.
  • In an interview, Feely repeatedly declined to say whether Trump lost the 2020 election. He defended Trump’s tariffs and his handling of the war in Iran.
  • “I love his policies and what he’s trying to implement,” Feely said.
