BUYER BEWARE: DCCC Launches Digital Ads Targeting Congressman Kelly’s Dangerous Car Dealerships

Ads geotargeted to Congressman Kelly’s dealerships warn voters about Kelly’s dangerous practice of selling cars with unfixed recalls to customers

Today, the DCCC announced that it’s launching a targeted digital ad buy in Pennsylvania’s 16th Congressional District, warning voters of the “tremendously dangerous and irresponsible” business practices at Congressman Mike Kelly’s car dealerships in Butler.

A WTAE investigation found that Kelly’s dealerships offer cars for sale with unfixed recalls, putting Pennsylvanians at risk of injury, or even death, all so Kelly can make a quick buck. The DCCC’s ads, which start running today, will appear on Facebook and are targeted to both the 16th District and the area immediately around Kelly’s dealerships, ensuring that Pennsylvanians are aware of his shady and dangerous practices.

“Congressman Kelly is trying to make big money selling cars that put Pennsylvanians in danger – it’s time for Kelly to come clean and explain to his constituents why he put his profits above their safety,” said DCCC spokesperson Mike Gwin. “The DCCC will continue to hold Mike Kelly accountable for his dangerous and deceptive practices, and will make sure that Pennsylvanians know that Kelly just can’t be trusted.”
