It’s no surprise that after implementing the largest health care cuts ever and plunging the country into a war that’s skyrocketed farming costs, rural Americans are rejecting Trump and Republicans. CNN reports that Trump is now underwater (-14) with rural voters, which is a sharp contrast to their approval (+18) during the 2024 election, calling it “an over 30 point switcheroo.”
As Republicans lose the benefit of the doubt with rural voters, the DCCC is committed to making inroads with this community. For the first time ever, the DCCC has a rural engagement program that’s actively organizing, engaging, and communicating with rural voters.
