Representative David Valadao has claimed to be a leader on immigration reform. David Valadao also voted Wednesday on separate votes to:
- Oppose compelling the Trump Administration to follow court orders and reunify children and parents
- Oppose restricting funding for ‘tent cities’ for unaccompanied minors and children
- Oppose funding for family case manage to reunite separated families
- Oppose requiring the Administration to regularly report the number of children separated from their families
However, Valadao did vote to override a court settlement so that children can be held in unlicensed family detention facilities. So there’s that. DCCC spokesperson Drew Godinich released the following statement:
“Congressman David Valadao has voted repeatedly to oppose reuniting the families of children cruelly ripped away from their parents. The people of his district will remember his cruelty this November.”
