Capping off Week 8, House Democrats Heavily Engage AAPI Community in Orange County as Part of Hyper-Targeted 2020 Strategy
This week, the DCCC launched its first digital ads in California’s 48th District, “Choices”, targeting Asian American voters, particularly Vietnamese voters. The online ad went up along with the DCCC’s first-ever Vietnamese language cable ad this week, both spotlighting Michelle Steel’s rampant abuse of power and corruption, and is part of a six-figure digital investment by the DCCC IE.
The ads are part of a hyper targeted strategy by the DCCC to reach Asian American voters where they are at across both traditional media and online platforms. Additionally, the DCCC and the Harley Rouda campaign have continued to lean heavily into Vietnamese American outreach in the Orange County Community contacting voters virtually and over the phone in Vietnamese and English.
