| Today the DCCC is announcing a $13 million-plus investment in coordinated TV spending across 35 districts for Week 4. This week’s investment is particularly notable for the new districts in which the DCCC is going on air, including PA-01, MI-04, and CA-48, among others.
This week’s investment comes after the DCCC added eight new districts to our offensive battlefield, six candidates to our Red to Blue program, and after Cook Political Report and Inside Elections shifted 15 races and 11 races, respectively, in Democrats’ favor.
We’ve seen voters across the country motivated to turn out for Democrats. In top-of-the-ticket contested primaries in House battleground states, Democratic voter participation outpaced Republican turnout by over 3.5 million votes. Since 2006, the party with the edge in primary turnout has gone on to win the House. And early voting is already showing signs of an enthusiasm gap, with Democrats having a clear advantage among voters turning out to vote.
DCCC National Political Director Brooke Butler:
“Democrats are poised to win in these competitive districts because we are focused on holding Republicans accountable for enabling Trump’s worst impulses on the economy that have led to higher costs and doing nothing to root out corruption, coupled with our incredible candidates and their message of fighting for hardworking families. The DCCC’s investment this week is further proof that we are on offense and are on track to take back the House.”
