Subject: DCCC Polling Memo: Zach Dembo Continues to Lead in KY-06

An internal DCCC poll conducted October 2-5 among 606 likely general election voters in KY-06 shows the race is trending in Democrats’ favor. Democrat Zach Dembo leads Republican Ralph Alvarado by 6 points, 46% to 40%, with third party candidates taking a combined 6%, and 8% undecided.

Ralph Alvarado’s ratings are underwater (-15, 27% favorable/42% unfavorable), worse than in DCCC polling from July. His former running mate and disgraced ex-Governor Matt Bevin is even worse off at -46 favorability, with 64% of KY-06 voters expressing negative views, compared to only 18% positive. The DCCC has run coordinated ads with the Dembo campaign that directly tie Alvarado to Bevin. Donald Trump’s job approval is underwater at -19 (34% approve/53% disapprove) among a sample of voters who voted for him by 12 points in 2024.

Meanwhile, Dembo is known by 69% of voters, up from 34% in July polling, and remains favorable across the district. Governor Andy Beshear, who appeared in an ad for Dembo, sees incredibly high job approval, at +28 points (60% approve/32% disapprove).

Methodology: These results are based on a survey of 606 likely general election voters in KY-06 conducted from October 2-5, 2026, via phone and text-to-web interviews. The margin of error is +/- 4.0% at a 95% confidence interval.
