The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for CA-49, “Ban,” highlighting Brian Maryott’s real and radical stance on abortion. Despite trying desperately to lie to voters and moderate himself in a general election, Maryott can only blame himself for signing onto dangerous anti-abortion positions Californians cannot wait to reject on Election Day.
In 2020, Brian Maryott confirmed his opposition to abortion, refusing to support exceptions even in circumstances of rape, incest or when the life of a woman is at risk. Maryott staked out his extreme stance as recently as this year, when he signed a pledge by a group that vows to abolish abortion.
The ad – the first to run in CA-49 from the DCCC IE – is airing in San Diego beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

And he supports letting politicians ban abortion even in cases of rape or to save a woman’s life.
Now anti-abortion extremists are spending millions to elect him.
Maryott’s way too extreme for California.
