The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for MI-07, “Hide,” highlighting Tom Barrett’s failed attempts to hide his dangerous anti-choice position.
“Hide” holds Tom Barrett accountable for his extreme position on abortion using his own words. The spot reminds voters that Barrett called himself “100% PRO-LIFE — NO EXCEPTIONS” and supports an abortion ban without exceptions for cases of rape, incest, or danger to the life of the woman.
The ad – the second to run in MI-07 from the DCCC IE – is airing beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

“Tom Barrett knows that his extremist stance on abortion is not what Michigan wants.
That’s why he’s trying to hide it from us.
He’s made it clear he doesn’t support our right to an abortion
Even in the case of rape or incest.
… or when our lives depend on it.
But, he knows his extremist views don’t align with Michigan values
so his campaign removed it from his website.
But we know where Tom Barrett stands…
No matter how hard he tries to hide it.”
