DCCC Releases New TV Ad in MI-07: “World”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for MI-07, “World,” highlighting Tom Barrett’s votes against 5,000 auto manufacturing jobs in mid-Michigan, instead voting to allow jobs to be sent out of state or overseas.

The ad calls out Tom Barrett for his five votes against Michigan workers and for opposing a bipartisan bill to bring manufacturing jobs and supply chains from  China back to the United States. If Barrett got his way, Michigan manufacturing jobs could be shipped out of state or overseas.

The ad – the first to run in MI-07 from the DCCC IE – is airing in the Lansing media market beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

Transcript:

“As State Senator, Tom Barrett had a choice…
“On one hand, invest in Michigan..
“A bipartisan deal, a new GM plant and 5000 jobs.
“On the other hand, to help our competitors…allowing jobs to go overseas.
“Tom Barrett chose wrong.
“Not just once.
“But voted against Michigan workers five times.
“He even attacked the law that brings supply chains and manufacturing jobs back from China…
“If Tom Barrett got his way, those jobs wouldn’t be here..
“They’d be…somewhere else.
“Tom Barrett’s the Wrong Choice for Michigan.”
