The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for OR-05, “Basic,” highlighting Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer’s extreme anti-choice agenda.
The advertisement underscores Chavez-DeRemer’s enthusiasm for the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and points out her support for an abortion ban at six weeks with no exception for rape or incest.
The ad – the first to run in OR-05 from the DCCC IE – is airing in the Portland media market beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

“Our most basic freedom was stripped away…
and Lori Chavez-DeRemer said she was quote “encouraged” by it.
So encouraged, in fact, Chavez-DeRemer now wants to criminalize abortion at just six weeks.
Six weeks.
Effectively taking away the right to choose in Oregon before most women even know they’re pregnant.
A ban so extreme…
it makes no exceptions for rape or incest.
