DCCC Statement on Disgraced MAGA Extremist J.R. Majewski Announcing *Another* Bid for Congress

After losing to Rep. Marcy Kaptur by 13 points in 2022, today J.R. Majewski announced he is running for Congress again.

DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“J.R. Majewski is the opposite of what Northeast Ohioans deserve in Congress: he is a dangerous, far-right conspiracy theorist who attended the January 6th insurrection and lied about his military service record. Voters recognized just how dangerous Majewski was in 2022, and between his extremism and inflated record, it’s comical that Majewski thinks voters will support him in 2024.”

About J.R. Majewski:

• J.R. Majewski breached police barricades on January 6th and said he has no regrets about joining the insurrection, going so far as to say that he “wanted nothing more than to go in” the Capitol building

• Majewski wants to “abolish all unconstitutional three letter agencies,” including the CIA, FBI, and DOJ

• Majewski faced major backlash after the Associated Press released a damning report showing J.R. Majewski lied about his military service, debunking Majewski’s false and shameful claims that he was a combat veteran deployed to Afghanistan. Today, Majewski maintains ties to far-right conspiracy theorists.
