DCCC Targets Florida’s Most Vulnerable Republicans

DCCC’s 2024 offensive target list includes Reps. Salazar and Luna, whose districts are key to winning a Democratic House majority

Today, DCCC Chair Rep. Suzan DelBene announced House Democrats’ Districts In Play for the 2024 election cycle includes Maria Elvira Salazar and Anna Paulina Luna, signaling Democrats’ readiness to reclaim the House majority by focusing on these key seats in Florida.

The DCCC’s Districts In Play are competitive Republican-held or open districts across the nation that are critical battlegrounds as the DCCC works to unseat MAGA Republicans like Salazar and Luna and win a Democratic House majority this cycle.

Salazar and Luna’s addition to the DCCC’s Districts In Play sends the clear message that Democrats will ensure Florida voters know of their continued embrace of MAGA extremism and their party’s dangerously radical agenda.

DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Reps. Salazar and Luna have worked alongside the most dangerous wings of their party to threaten job creation, roll back women’s freedoms, and endanger Floridians’ economic security. The DCCC is prepared to recruit exciting and battle-ready candidates in Florida to win these seats and ensure voters see the clear contrast between Democrats’ track record of delivering for the middle class, and Republicans’ radical agenda that puts Floridians at risk.”
