Does Anti-Choice Adkins Agree with Sam Brownback’s Extremist Views on Women’s Reproductive Rights?

As Brownback attacks Roe v. Wade, will Adkins stand by him once again?

This week, disgraced former Governor and current anti-choice activist Sam Brownback took to OAN to profess his disdain for women’s rights to make their own health care decisions.

Now it’s up to longtime Brownback advisor Amanda Adkins to say whether she once again agrees with his hardline stances on women’s reproductive rights. Here are just some of the questions Adkins must answer in the wake of her former boss’ extreme anti-choice comments:

• Do you agree that the country needs to “go back to what it was prior to Roe v. Wade”?

• Do you support Brownback’s efforts to ban abortion in Kansas with no exceptions even in the case rape or incest? 

• Do you agree with Brownback that legally protected reproductive rights are nothing more than judicial activism?

• Do you agree that the Supreme Court has previously “stomped on the field” by protecting a woman’s right to choose?

Just like Brownback, Adkins has previously opposed Roe v. Wade and, as chair of the Kansas Republican Party, pushed for a plan to make abortion illegal, even in cases of rape and incest. She also backed plans to defund Planned Parenthood, which provides affordable health care to tens of thousands of Kansans every year.

With Brownback doling out endorsements in Kansas, it’s only a matter of time before Adkins chimes in once again to back her former boss.
