More than 700,000 Americans have cast their midterm ballots in at least 30 states, and early voting analysis from CNN shows the signs are pointing to a Democratic advantage. Democrats are fired up to take back the House Majority, with early voting numbers representing the latest indication of Democratic voter enthusiasm after Democrats garnered 3.5 million more primary votes than Republicans.
Democrats are surpassing Republicans in early ballot requests, and eclipsing their percentages from 2024 in key states that will decide control of the House like Pennsylvania and Iowa.
In Virginia, “two competitive House races in the state also suggest a move towards Democrats in terms of enthusiasm… Democratic primary participants outnumber Republican primary participants by 15 points among votes cast so far in the 1st District and 18 points in the 2nd District.”
As Democrats expand the midterm map even deeper into Trump-won districts, these early voting numbers are a bad sign for House Republicans hoping to get away with their reckless failures.
DCCC Spokesperson Liam Buckley: “Democrats are fired up to vote in this year’s midterm elections and send House Republicans packing. These early vote numbers are just the beginning.”
