“The purchases, part of a $9.9 million ad buy across 12 districts, will reserve slots on Black News Channel, VietFace TV, Univision and Telemundo, among others.”
This week, the DCCC Independent Expenditure announced its fifth round of TV reservations, $9.9 million reservation across 12 districts, reflecting the size and scope of House Democrats’ growing offensive battlefield.
This round of investments includes reservations specifically targeted to communicate with Latino, AAPI and African American voters, making it the first time in history that the DCCC IE has placed TV reservations targeted to communicate with AAPI and African American voters.
Reservations are being placed across stations like Black News Channel in the Omaha, Cincinnati, and Charleston media markets, VietFace TV in the Los Angeles media market, and Univision and Telemundo in the Houston media market.
The reservations are being placed by minority-owned firms which include, Pescador (Latino targeted reservations), Intertrend (Vietnamese targeted reservations), and Gilbreath (African American targeted reservations).
At the DCCC we are not taking anything or anyone for granted this election cycle, that’s why we started conducting research on the ground and earning the trust of diverse voters across the battlefield early in 2019,” said DCCC Spokesperson Fabiola Rodriguez. “This week’s IE TV reservations reflect our early on the ground investments, and are a reminder of how critical Latino, AAPI, and African-American voters are in our strategy to protect and expand the most diverse House Majority in our nation’s history.”
