Today, House Republicans voted to roll back Obama-era Internet privacy protections. The bill would allow Internet Service Providers to sell private Internet browsing data without consumer consent.
“House Republicans voting to allow Internet service providers to sell their constituents’ personal browsing history without their consent is downright creepy and indefensible,” said DCCC spokesperson Tyler Law. “Democratic House candidates across the country will certainly welcome the support of civil libertarians who recognize that the Republican Party has abandoned the values of privacy and liberty.”
