David Valadao Endorses Trump for Reelection
As Central Valley voters begin to tune in and take stock of their local Congressional race in CA-21, David Valadao made it official and came out in support for President Trump’s reelection. This is a shift from 2016, when Valadao said he could not support Trump’s candidacy as someone “who denigrates people based on their ethnicity, religion, or disabilities.” This comes as new ads hit the airwaves and voters are beginning to realize that the race for California’s 21st District is shaping up to be “all about Donald Trump”.
Now, David Valadao’s strict allegiance to Trump is front and center in his flailing bid to get back to Congress. And despite Valadao twisting himself into knots to claim moderate credentials, Valadao’s voting record shows he is anything but – voting with Donald Trump 99% of the time and literally standing with him as he campaigns for reelection.
Meanwhile, Trump’s recent support among Republicans and other conservative voters has begun to seriously erode in the Central Valley, with his approval dropping to an all-time low of 37%. Don’t forget Donald Trump lost this majority-minority district with a 60% Latino electorate by 16 points. The voters of the Central Valley deserve to know, what in the last four years, has changed Valadao’s mind on Trump.
