Over the weekend, out-of-touch MAGA extremist Matt Larkin proved once again that he can’t be trusted to stand up for women in Washington’s 8th congressional district. Doubling down on his anti-choice stance, Larkin refused to say how he would vote on a national abortion ban, claiming that he was “not going to commit to hypothetical legislation.”
Larkin has clearly forgotten that this dangerous attack on reproductive freedom is far from hypothetical. Just months ago, House Republicans introduced a national abortion ban that would override existing protections in Washington state.
Larkin has been an outspoken advocate of such measures, telling supporters, “I can see a strong conservative Congress putting forward that vote to ban it nationally.” Larkin has also asserted, “I don’t believe in the exceptions … for rape and incest or things like that.”

“Republicans trying to pass a national abortion ban is anything but hypothetical – and anti-choice extremist Matt Larkin knows it. Washington state voters will see right through Larkin’s latest attempt to hide his extreme agenda, which includes joining national Republicans to ban abortion nationwide without exceptions.”
