| Yesterday, vulnerable Republican Mike Lawler voted against a common sense War Powers Resolution to reaffirm the authority of the Congress and stop the reckless war of choice in the Middle East.
D.C. Republicans like Lawler have failed to make life more affordable for New Yorkers, falling in line behind the administration’s toxic agenda of price-spiking tariffs, ripping away health care, and prioritizing billion-dollar ballrooms. As a result, a recent Fox News poll found Trump’s approval on every major issue at all time lows, including his war of choice in the Middle East.
Lawler has endorsed Trump’s reckless cost-raising war every chance he gets, claiming rising costs from the war are “absolutely worth it,” arguing it was a “righteous decision” and standing by as Donald Trump’s Treasury secretary dismissed the pain Hudson Valley families are feeling at the pump as a “blip.”
REMINDER: This is the FOURTH time Lawler has voted to rubber-stamp the war in Iran, and now New Yorkers are facing skyrocketing prices at the pump as a direct result.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Gas prices continue to rise but Mike Lawler refuses to do the single most significant thing to fix the pain at the pump. His cowardice and failure to lower costs is why he will lose in November.” |
