Anthony Constantino has officially secured his spot as Donald Trump’s #1 lapdog.
Reporting from The Bulwark reveals that Constantino is “the Trumpiest congressional candidate in the country,” citing his past remarks that “Trump can ‘control’ him,” and “people should always be subordinate to the leader.”
But Constantino didn’t stop there. In 2024, Constantino pledged total submission to Trump, saying “I wanna support him as much as I can.” And just this year, when asked about oversight on Iran, “Constantino declined to stand up for the legislative branch he hopes to join. Instead, he deferred entirely to Trump.”
Constantino’s comments come as the DCCC added Blake Gendebien to the committee’s Red to Blue program and recent polling shows Constantino trailing 4 points behind Blake. Meanwhile, in a district Trump carried by 20 points in 2024, Trump’s approval has sunk to a measly 45% — “and Constantino isn’t even reaching that level of support.”
