New DCCC Poll Shows Carl Marlinga and John James Tied

new poll, commissioned by the DCCC in Michigan’s 10th Congressional District, shows Carl Marlinga is in a dead heat (47% to 47%) with vulnerable freshman Congressman John James.

According to the poll, James’s favorability and job approval show signs of weakness while Marlinga’s name recognition continues to rise – a positive sign reflected even further in Q3 fundraising, when Marlinga hauled in $1.6 million, beating James.

Recent reporting also highlights the close rematch, where Marlinga “cuts a different figure” unique to Michigan’s 10th Congressional District.

DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“While John James has spent his time in Congress advancing an anti-abortion agenda and setting the stage for Project 2025, Carl Marlinga is proving himself to be a formidable opponent and the common-sense leader Michigan families deserve. This polling confirms what we already know: James’ self-serving and dangerous record is too extreme for voters in Michigan’s 10th Congressional District.”
