All the While, Continued Silence from Valadao on His President and Political Donors
It was reported last night by the Washington Post that Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, two men currently under Federal indictment for campaign finance violations in 2018, personally discussed Ukraine policy with the President during an exclusive donor dinner in Trump’s Washington hotel and have “more influence over his views on that country — than the White House and the President have acknowledged.”
David Valadao received donations from Parnas and Fruman, but his campaign has plead ignorance and stated that “any foreign intervention in our elections is completely unacceptable.”
If that were truly the case for Valadao, why hasn’t he strongly denounced the fact that Trump bribed a foreign country for his own political benefit in the 2020 election?
“Despite his protests about foreign intervention in our elections, Valadao hasn’t taken a stand about the fact that Donald Trump bribed a foreign country to benefit his own political ambitions. What’s even more suspicious are his ties to criminally indicted donors who directly guided Trump’s Ukraine policy,” said DCCC Spokesperson, Andy Orellana. “Valadao’s refusal to stand up for the rule of law and our democracy is deeply troubling.”
