Overview

Chuong Vo will hurt working families in Congress. Derek Tran understands firsthand the challenges working families are facing, which is why he will always fight for working people. 

SUMMARY

Starting eight weeks before Election Day, voters need to see digital ads on YouTube, streaming, and OTT, and cable TV ads, and Latino voters need to see in both English and Spanish digital ads on YouTube, streaming, and OTT, and receive mail about how:

  • Chuong Vo supports one of the largest billionaire tax cuts in history paid for by gutting Medicaid and kicking millions of Americans off their health insurance, including more than 41,000 people in CA-45. He said this law would “give money back to the people,” even as it gave nearly one trillion dollars in tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of working families.
  • As mayor pro tem, Vo cast the deciding vote to increase fees on his constituents. He’s also backed by Republican leaders that extended Trump’s costly tariffs that are costing the average family more than $2,500.

Then, starting four weeks before Election Day, voters need to see broadcast and cable TV ads, and digital ads on YouTube, streaming, and OTT  – and Latino voters, No Party Preference voters, and voters under the age of 55 need to see digital ads on YouTube, streaming, and OTT, and receive mail about how:

  • Derek Tran is the son of refugees whose parents fled the Communist regime in Vietnam. He grew up working at his family’s store, where he and his parents regularly dealt with break-ins, threats, and theft. He enlisted in the Army at 18, and then worked his way through college and law school with the help of the G.I. Bill.
  • In Congress, Tran has worked to lower costs, including standing up to the war in Iran that is raising the costs of everything by driving up diesel and shipping costs.
  • Tran is fighting against government corruption by banning members of Congress from trading stocks and working to end the influence and power of lobbyists, so taxpayer dollars help working families instead of rewarding political insiders and allies.
