Seven weeks before Election Day, voters in the Miami, West Palm Beach, and Fort Myers media markets should see ads on broadcast TV, cable, YouTube, and streaming and receive mail about how:
- Askar has a history of shady business practices and is part of the corrupt system driving up costs for working families and hurting workers, all to make a buck.
- Askar and his businesses were accused of engaging in unethical and potentially illegal activity, investigated after allegedly taking excessive campaign contributions, sued for unsafe conditions, and allegedly denied a grieving widow her husband’s life insurance benefits.
- Askar’s companies have allegedly denied employees their full wages. A class action lawsuit was brought against him for failing to reimburse employees for work expenses and paying hourly employees substantially less per hour than legally required.
