Democrats Remind Voters of Valadao’s Record of Supporting Trump 98% of the Time
President Trump’s tour through California puts David Valadao in a sticky situation. In case you forgot, the President is uniquely unpopular in California’s 21st District – he lost there in 2016 by more than 15 points in 2016.
But while the President is politically toxic, rejected Congressman David Valadao voted with Donald Trump 98% of the time including:
- Voting to eliminate health care for over 60,000 of his own constituents and stripping away vital protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
- Voting for the Republican Tax Scam which gave billions in tax breaks and lined the pockets of drug manufacturers.
And because Valadao can’t hide from his record as a Trump loyalist, he’s going all in on the President. Today that means he’s stumping with the President, who knows what tomorrow will bring.
“Last election, Central Valley voters rejected David Valadao because he stood with President Trump and voted in Washington to make health care more expensive and undermine coverage for 60,000 of his constituents, including those with pre-existing conditions. With Valadao and his fellow Washington Republicans running on the exact same harmful agenda this time around, why on earth should the families of the Central Valley give him another chance?” said DCCC Spokesperson, Andy Orellana.”
Democrats have worked to inform the voters of CA-21 on Valadao’s undying support for the Trump presidency with the DCCC launching a website today – TrumpValadao2020.com – to inform the voters of Valadao’s allegiance to Trump, particularly when it is most harmful for everyday folks in the Central Valley.
