Trust Fund Millionaire Paul Junge Tries To Save Failing Campaign With Another Massive Loan

Michigan values can’t be bought by a California trust fund millionaire

In the latest round of FEC filings, it was revealed that MI-08 GOP candidate and California trust fund millionaire Paul Junge loaned his failing campaign another $475,000. In this cycle alone, Junge has given his campaign more than $2 million in an attempt to buy a congressional seat.

Desperate for cash, Junge is rushing to save his failing campaign with his own fortune. The few individual contributions he has received include dirty money from some of the most extreme voices in the Republican Party, including the DeVos family.

Junge has proven time and time again his allegiances lie with extreme national Republicans in Washington, not with the people of mid-Michigan. Junge is allied with extremists like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and hopes to join their radical ranks if he buys his way to Washington. Just this week, he was proudly campaigning with Steve Scalise, one of the ringleaders of the radical Republican caucus. Scalise has touted Republicans’ efforts to gut Social Security and Medicare and has a long history of supporting dangerous abortion bans. If elected, Junge would help them implement their harmful agenda that would privatize Social Security, gut Medicare, and ban nearly all abortions.

DCCC Spokesperson Matt Corridoni:
“Mid-Michigan voters won’t be fooled by Paul Junge’s desperate, last-minute attempt to buy this election. Using his fortune to try and save his failing campaign while campaigning with radical party leaders tells you everything you need to know about Paul Junge – he’s an out-of-touch, extremist carpetbagger who will do anything to get elected. On Election Day, voters will send Paul Junge a clear message: Mid-Michigan is not for sale.”
