Radical Republican Ken Calvert attempted to throw out Americans’ votes and overturn the results of the 2020 election. He voted against an independent commission to hold those responsible for an insurrection against our government accountable. He even stated he hopes the charges against insurrectionists are dropped.
Calvert’s craven choice to side with violent insurrectionists over the hardworking families of the Inland Empire has been rewarded: yesterday he received Donald Trump’s endorsement.
In courting Trump, Calvert raced to the right and left his district behind. He attempted to stop historic infrastructure investments from reaching his constituents; he stood in the way of protecting our veterans; and he voted against the bill that uplifted California’s workers, families, and small businesses during the worst of the pandemic.
