Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has received nationwide condemnation over his Big Government encroachments on the civil liberties of LGBTQ individuals, announced he will join Congresswoman Yvette Herrell on the campaign trail next week.
Yvette Herrell claims her own bigoted record of staunchly opposing LGBTQ rights. In a recent interview, Herrell stated gay marriage threatens the nuclear family “as we know it” and voted against bipartisan legislation to protect marriage equality last month.
Herrell’s extremism is not limited to her backwards views on LGBTQ rights. Herrell is one of 167 Republicans who signed onto an abortion ban that makes no exceptions for rape or when the life of an individual is at risk.
DCCC Spokesperson Maddy Mundy:
“Yvette Herrell wants to take our country backwards by attacking Americans’ right to make decisions over their own body and marry whom they love. If Herrell and her extremist friends think this hateful agenda is a winning message, they are in for a rude awakening this November.”
