| As vulnerable Republican Mike Lawler prepares to welcome Donald Trump to the Hudson Valley to tout their toxic, unpopular agenda that’s hiking costs across the 17th District, new reporting from Daily Beast reveals that Trump will break with decades of presidential tradition and skip out on addressing the U.S. Naval Academy’s graduation to campaign with MAGA lapdog Lawler.
This comes as Trump’s reckless war in Iran drags into its third month — a war that has already killed at least six U.S. servicemembers and wounded dozens. Mike Lawler has loyally backed this war at every turn.
 REMINDER: New York’s 17th District has a significant concentration of veterans, military families, law enforcement, and first responders.
On Friday, those voters will watch Lawler stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the same President who chose a political field trip over honoring the next generation of naval officers — officers who may soon be deployed to the very war Lawler keeps backing.
