Donors favor the steady leadership of Hakeem Jeffries and House Democrats to the dysfunction and extremism of Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans
Thanks to the hard work of Leader Hakeem Jeffries and the House Democratic Caucus, the DCCC outraised the NRCC by at least $3.5 million in January, raising over $8 million to the NRCC’s $4.5 million. The NRCC’s weak month is not good news for House Republicans – rather than riding a wave of support for winning the majority, donors and voters are already showing they are ready to restore a Democratic majority.
The contrast in January was clear:
Democrats unanimously supported Leader Hakeem Jeffries VS Kevin McCarthy struggled through 15 ballots to become Speaker
DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“House Republicans have shown they are unfit, unwilling, and incapable of governing and getting things done for the American people. These strong fundraising numbers were made possible by the steady leadership and hard work of President Biden, Leader Jeffries, and House Democrats. Voters can see the clear contrast and the importance of electing a Democratic majority in 2024.”
