DCCC Outraises NRCC by $3.5 Million in January, Amid GOP Dysfunction and Extremism

Thanks to the hard work of Leader Hakeem Jeffries and the House Democratic Caucus, the DCCC outraised the NRCC by at least $3.5 million in January, raising over $8 million to the NRCC’s $4.5 million. The NRCC’s weak month is not good news for House Republicans – rather than riding a wave of support for winning the majority, donors and voters are already showing they are ready to restore a Democratic majority.

The contrast in January was clear:

• Democrats unanimously supported Leader Hakeem Jeffries VS Kevin McCarthy struggled through 15 ballots to become Speaker

• Democrats announced infrastructure investments and capped seniors’ insulin at $35 per month through legislation passed in the 117th Congress VS House Republicans passed a bill that would protect wealthy tax cheats and would add $114 billion to the deficit and prioritized taxpayer-funded political stunts to air grievances

• And Democrats got to work and fought to find ways to improve the U.S. economy and lives of the people that elected them VS House Republicans showed the country that they are at the mercy of far-right extremists, more concerned with gaining power for themselves and special interests than serving the people, willing to hold the full faith and credit of the United States hostage to gut essential programs like Social Security and Medicare
