George Santos Remains Beholden to MAGA Extremism as President Biden Shares Progress and Vision in State of the Union

Tonight, President Biden’s State of the Union address sent a clear message to New Yorkers: Democrats seek to build upon their historic results and economic progress, and tackle the challenges everyday, working class Americans face. This resounding message stands in clear contrast to George Santos, who is beholden to his party’s extreme agenda, and the MAGA extremists who control Republican leadership.

REMINDER: As a candidate, Santos opposed legislation that capped the cost of insulin at $35 per month for Medicare recipients, as well as legislation that continues to fix roads and bridges in New York.

Now, as an historically ineffective member of Congress, rather than work with Democrats to find solutions that will help everyday families, Santos has given his full support to MAGA extremists and an agenda that seeks to gut Social Security and Medicare, ban abortion nationwide, use the full faith and credit of the United States as a bargaining chip, protect wealthy tax cheats and extend Republicans’ wealthy tax giveaways, and prioritize MAGA-led, Trump-like political investigations.
